The General Confederation of Labor issued Official Dispatch 2946/TLD-TC dated October 26, 2021, amending the object of delay in payment of union dues.

According to Resolution 126/NQ-CP dated 08/10/2021 amended Resolution 68/NQ-CP dated July 1, 2021, and Conclusion at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the General Confederation (according to Notice 455/TB-TLD dated 26/10/2021), The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor amends the subjects eligible for the delay in payment of trade union fees.
Specifically, the subjects eligible for the delay in payment of union dues are businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in a reduction of 10% or more of their employees participating in social insurance compared with the time of January 2021 (including employees who stop working, suspend the performance of labor contracts, and agree to take unpaid leave).
Earlier, in Official Dispatch 2059/TLD dated May 28, 2021, The General Confederation has agreed to allow production and business enterprises to be affected by the Covid-19 epidemic (Enterprises with some employees participating in social insurance must temporarily quit 50% of the total number of employees subject to compulsory social insurance). Time: In the immediate future, delaying the payment of union dues to December 31, 2021.
Thus, with the new conditions (reducing from 10% of employees participating in social insurance or more), more businesses will be able to postpone paying union dues until the end of 2021.
