Vietnam Social Security has just issued Official Letter 3138/BHXH-CSXH on determining beneficiaries of unemployment insurance support under Resolution 116/NQ-CP (guided by Decision 28/2021/QD-TTg dated October 1st, 2021)

Accordingly, the social insurance agency has not yet received support documents under Resolution 116/NQ-CP for the following subjects:
- Employees who take maternity leave or take sick leave for 14 working days or more are not entitled to monthly salary at the unit but enjoy social insurance benefits.
- The employee suspends the performance of the labor contract or the signed work contract according to the provisions of law.
- The employee leaves without pay.
- The employee unilaterally terminates the labor contract/work contract illegally (resigns voluntarily).
Therefore, the Social Insurance of Vietnam requested the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs to study and guide the group of subjects who have time to participate in health insurance, which is reserved for the period from January 1, 2020 (when the Covid-19 pandemic begins to affect Vietnam) to September 30, 2021, but is not on the list of payment of health insurance as of September 30, 2021, for Vietnam's social insurance to have a chance. The department does.
In the immediate, Vietnam Social Security will receive dossiers and settle support payments in the fastest time for those who have specific regulations.
Official Dispatch 3138/BHXH-CSXH was issued on October 6, 2021.
