On December 7, 2021, the Government issued Decree No. 108/2021/ND-CP adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits, and monthly allowances.
The decree clearly states that from January 1, 2022, the adjustment will increase by 7.4% on the pension, social insurance allowance, and monthly allowance of December 2021 for target groups.
In addition, the Decree also states that, after adjusting according to the general level, those who retired before 1995 with pensions, social insurance allowances, and monthly allowances of less than VND 2,500,000 per month are adjusted at the following levels:
An additional VND 200,000 per person per month for those with pensions, social insurance allowances, monthly allowances of VND 2,300,000/person/month or less;
Increase to VND 2,500,000 per person per month for those with pensions, social insurance allowances, monthly allowances from VND 2,300,000 per person per month to less than VND 2,500,000 per person per month.
Pension levels, social insurance allowances, monthly allowances after adjustment are the basis for calculating adjustments to pensions and allowances in subsequent adjustments.
Decree No. 108/2021/ND-CP takes effect from January 20, 2022. The provisions of this Decree are implemented from January 1, 2022.
